ARMISTEAD PROJECT

Armistead Helpline (0151 227 1893): To access any of our services or for information and support ring on-  Monday, Wednesday & Friday 12.00pm – 6.00pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 2.00pm – 9.00pm Saturday: 1.00pm - 7.00pm

Drop-in: a quiet social space for Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender people aged 18+ to acess information and support from peers or proejct staff on Tuesday and Thursday 2.00pm – 9.00pm Saturday 4.00pm – 7.00pm

Youth Drop-in: for young Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trangender young people aged 14 - 19 for support around lifestyle, homphobia, realtionships, sexual health, drugsandalochol and coming out on Saturdays 1.00pm - 3.00pm

Gay Knowsley: Youth Group in Knowsley for 13 – 19 year olds
Young Gay Sefton: youth group in Bootle for 13- 19 year olds
G Space: youth group in Halton for 13 – 19 year olds
BOLD: Support Group for people with Learning Disabilities
Positive Men’s Group: support group for men living with HIV
Parents & Carers Group: support for parents and carers of LGB people.
Womens Group: support for Gay and bisexual Women aged 18+.

One to One Appointments: are available for sexual health, sexuality and lifestyle information and advice, accessing Armistead Services, support and information on services dealing with hate crime, domestic violence, mental health.

Counselling: appointments are availble for ongoing counselling for issues such as Sexuality, Depression, Anxiety, homophobia, Coming out, Relationship Issues, Self Confidence, Bereavement, Domestic Violence, and issues around HIV. Appointmetns are free and confidential.
 

Outreach: is carried out in clubs, bars, pubs, gay saunas cruising grounds and cottages across Merseyside. Outreach workers work in pairs and can be identified by the blue polo Armistead polo shirts and t shirts they wear together with the NHS identification they carry. We carry free condoms and lube, sexual health information. Stop us if you see us about and say hi.
 

Drugs and Alcohol: advice and support is available for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people and their families. (See Drugs section on Home page for more information)

Kickboxing: is a semi-contact sport which allows you to develop self defence skills as well as improving fitness levels. Kickboxing can  improve your flexibility, balance, muscle tone and can build self confidence.The classes are a safe space for all ages from Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender communities to train in basic kickboxing skills every Wednesday 7pm - 8pm at the Armistead Centre

ARMISTEAD STREET

Outreach: is carried out across the city of Liverpool on streets and in areas where femal sex workers base themselves.  Outreach workers work in pairs and can be identified by the purple Armistead polo shirts and t shirts they wear together with the NHS identification they carry. We carry free condoms and lube, sexual health information and provide freee needles and works as part of an emergency street based needle exchange service. 

Drop-in: a weekly drop-in service on the beat which is a relaxed social space for women who work as street based sex workers to accesss supoort and inforatmion from Armstead staffand otehr servces. Hot food and drink availble. 

Referral: support in accessing Drugs treatment, Detox and Rehab services

Information and Advice: is available on sexual health, housing, personal safety, the law, drugs, benefits and welfare rights, accessing education employment and training, doemstiv violence, drugs harm reduction, health and otehr social care issues.
